Intellectual Property and Content Usage Policy

This Intellectual Property and Content Usage Policy ("IP Policy") governs your use of all content, frameworks, methodologies, and materials made available through The Advantage Community member portal and associated programs.
1. Proprietary Intellectual Property
The following content is the exclusive proprietary intellectual property of The Advantage Community LLC and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws:
- The Advantage Community framework and methodology
- Supplier Maturity Ladder (all five levels, descriptions, and criteria)
- Buyer Maturity Ladder (all five levels, descriptions, and criteria)
- Assessment methodology, questions, and scoring logic
- Development frameworks and growth paths
- Playbooks, templates, worksheets, and guides
- Training materials and curricula
- Videos and event recordings
- Resource library content
- The BFD methodology and associated materials
- Deal Winning Breakthrough materials
- Mastermind program content
- Negotiation Readiness Program materials
- Deal Rescue Playbook materials
- Any other proprietary TAC content made available through the portal or programs
2. Permitted Use
Subject to the terms of your active membership and this IP Policy, members in good standing may:
- Access and use materials for personal and internal business development purposes only
- Download resources that are specifically designated as available for member download
- Apply community learning and frameworks inside their own organizations for internal development purposes
Permitted use is limited to the individual member account holder. It does not extend to colleagues, employees, clients, or any other third party unless explicitly stated.
3. Prohibited Use
Without prior written consent from The Advantage Community LLC, members may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or duplicate any proprietary content
- Redistribute or share proprietary content with any third party
- Sell, license, or sublicense any proprietary content
- Publish proprietary content on any website, platform, or medium
- Share member-only content with non-members
- Upload proprietary content to public websites or online communities
- Use content in commercial training programs, workshops, or courses
- Use content in consulting offerings or client deliverables
- Use content in assessment products or services
- Create derivative works based on proprietary content
- Create competing frameworks, maturity models, assessment systems, or development programs that are substantially derived from TAC content
- Share member downloads with non-members
4. AI and Machine Learning Restrictions
Members may not upload, use, repurpose, distribute, process, fine-tune, train, or incorporate The Advantage Community proprietary content into:
- Artificial intelligence systems of any kind
- Large language models (LLMs)
- Machine learning systems or models
- Knowledge bases or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems
- AI training datasets
- Automated content generation systems
This restriction applies to commercial use only. Members may use AI tools for their own internal, non-commercial professional development purposes, provided that proprietary TAC content is not uploaded, submitted, or incorporated into any AI system in a manner that makes it accessible to third parties or that trains, fine-tunes, or otherwise modifies an AI model. Prior written permission from The Advantage Community LLC is required for any commercial AI use.
5. Member Acknowledgment
By accessing the member portal, you acknowledge and agree that:
- All frameworks, maturity models, assessments, playbooks, methodologies, templates, training materials, and member resources are proprietary intellectual property of The Advantage Community LLC.
- Such content may not be copied, distributed, repurposed, shared, commercialized, or used to create competing offerings without prior written consent from The Advantage Community LLC.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this IP Policy may result in:
- Immediate suspension or termination of membership
- Legal action for copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, or breach of contract
- Claims for damages, including injunctive relief

7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this IP Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to members via email or portal notification, and will require re-acceptance before continued portal access. The version number and effective date above will be updated with each revision.
